Leggings, good or evil?
leggings. a wonderful thing to wear under long shirts , short dresses, and a perfect fix for a boring outfit.my personal favorite way to wear leggings is under a tunic-y top. Like in the picture above. Add a few cool accesories, and Voila! you've got an outfit! sorry for the funny face, the sun was very much in my eyes.
some of my very fashionable friends.
My friend Ella (shown above) is one of the most fashionable people i have ever had the pleasure of meeting, her style is vintagey sweetheart with a little bit of an edge. In the picture to the left, Ella is wearing this great purple jump suit kind of thing that she has turned into these leggings. I really love how she mixes textiles. on the right, i love how she uses proportions. I love her style.
This is Sage, a true rocker chick. her style is tough, yet laid back. Her daily outfits consists of patterned tights, denim shorts, band t-shirts and plenty of attitude.

This is Lilah, a hipstery darling. Her style is built on long skirts, collared blouses, lace, mixed patterns and leather shoes. She always has new, artsy ideas about what to wear, and how to wear it and is not afraid to stand out.

Hey guys!
it is almost officially summer, and ive been procrastinating on the computer when i found this pair of georgeous, fantastic, amazing shoes. i want themmmmmm. They would look so cute with plain dark blue, or black jeans and a simple top and like, a denim vest with studs. The tapestry pattern and texture is simply to die for. if im being honest, i love everything with a tapestry print. These shoes are feminine, with an edge of rock and roll with the laces and the platform heels. Total friday night shoes. Gotta say, i love these shoes.
So anyway, last night i went to a Best Coast concert and it was fantastic! me and my friends came early so we got to stand right next to the stage. We felt so bad for the people who came in late and had to basically stand in the lobby because there were too many people. We got some pretty kick ass t-shirts from their new album, The Only Place. It was a really great concert, and Bethany Cosentino (lead singer of Best Coast) was really funny and she sounded so good. The people there were wearing like, scarves as headbands, tanktops, cardigans, skinny jeans and boots. basically a mix of old and new trends. moral of the story? there are lots of hipsters at concerts.
bye for now!

hey guys! its Ariela! i know i havent blogged for a while, its been a hectic month. this blog is dedicated to, drumroll please! Sequins! in the photo to the left, Mary Kate Olsen perfectly pulls off the sparkles with simple hair and makeup, and a fantastic dress. With simple clunky silver bracelets and messy wavy hair. Sequins are hard to pull off, you can never pull off sequins with just a little, it looks tacky half the time unless it truly is an amazing piece.

comfort over style!
in the time that it is, the area between winter and spring, dressing warm and comfortably should be in hight value. and yet i still see girls in miniskirts and tube tops, no jackets, no tights shivering in the december air. high fashion and comfort should have more of an even balance, especially now. i think a fantastic example of comfort and fashion balance is Lou Dillon, as seen in picture to the right. French actress/model Lou Doillon is known for her association with Givenchy and her many movies in france, but she also has very amazing street style. Note the knit sweater, and the suspenders. She is also an amazing hat wearer.

my daily look.
well, to be quite honest, i dont spend very much time on my day to day wardrobe. i tend to keep it simple. i dont like to make the school hallways a runway, if you catch my meaning. i guess, with the small amount of attention get, it doesnt matter if i have a fashion fiasco. well, pretty much everyday, i wear v-neck tee-shirt (black) skinny jeans and converse or boots or something. add a gray hoodie, a long necklace and a cool woven belt, and you look like me! congrat! as for makeup, mineral powder foundation, dark gray eyeliner, and mascara (black). hair: messy, dark, a blonde streak. and thats me. a skinny, tall neurotic art school wierdo who loves photography and films.
